Sal Tradicional: Natural Algarve Seasalt

It is on the southcoast of Portugal, where Marisol finds its sea salt in premium quality: The natural Algarve salt »Sal Tradicional« comes from the traditional salt works situated in the »Ria Formosa« and »Sapal do Castro Marim« nature reserves. The gathering of sea salt is a 2000 year old practice in the Eastern Algarve and still followed today by the »marnotos«: professional salt gatherers, harvesting by hand both traditional sea salt and the flower of salt. Together with its producers, Marisol works on keeping up this millennial tradition by marketing hand-harvested gourmet salt world wide.
